Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 20, 2026
Solo Select Horses (“Solo Select Horses,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a horse breeding and sales business operating at soloselecthorses.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website, how we use it, and the choices you have. It also describes how we handle data through Facebook and Instagram, which we use to publish our own content to our own business pages.
Information we collect
We aim to collect as little personal information as possible. The information we handle falls into a few simple categories:
- Contact information you give us. If you fill out a contact or inquiry form, or email us about a horse, a breeding, or a sale, we receive whatever you choose to send — typically your name, email address or phone number, and your message.
- Basic site analytics. Like most websites, our servers and analytics tools record standard technical information such as your browser type, approximate region, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. We use this in aggregate to understand what content is useful and to keep the site running well.
- Social media page data. We operate Facebook Pages and Instagram Business accounts for our business. Managing those accounts involves data that the social platforms provide to us, described in the next section.
How we use Facebook and Instagram data
Solo Select Horses uses Meta’s Graph API as an internal tool to publish our own content — photos, videos, and announcements about our horses — to our own Facebook Pages and Instagram Business accounts. This is a publishing tool for the business, not a service offered to the public.
- We connect our own business accounts and use the access tokens and page information Meta provides solely to post and schedule our content and to read basic publishing results (for example, whether a post succeeded).
- We do not collect, store, sell, or build profiles of the people who follow, like, or comment on our pages beyond the aggregated insights Meta itself makes available for managing a business page.
- We do not use Meta data for advertising targeting unrelated to our own pages, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.
How we use your information
We use the information described above to:
- respond to your inquiries and communicate with you about our horses;
- operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website;
- publish and manage our own business content on social media; and
- comply with legal obligations.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us run the website and our communications (for example, hosting, email, and analytics providers), and only as needed for them to perform those services, or where required by law.
Data retention
We keep contact-form messages and correspondence only as long as needed to respond to you and to maintain a reasonable business record, and then delete or archive them. Aggregated, non-identifying analytics may be kept longer. Social media content and the tokens used to publish it are retained for as long as we operate the associated business accounts; you can ask us to delete connection data at any time.
Your choices and your rights
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To make a request, email us at mel@soloselect.com, or follow the steps on our Data Deletion page. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Children’s privacy
Our website is intended for a general, adult audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
