OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — Solo Select Horses topped Day 2 of the 2025 Heritage Place Fall Mixed Sale with the $300,000 sale of Mystic Paint, the reigning AQHA Racing Champion 3-Year-Old Colt. He was purchased by Jorge Haddad, with plans for his 2026 campaign to be announced soon.

Offered as Hip #419, Mystic Paint (Pyc Paint Your Wagon — Jess So Sixy by Mr Jess Perry) drew significant attention in the sale ring before ultimately hammering down for the session’s highest price.

The colt’s combination of performance stats, pedigree power, and stallion potential positioned him as one of the most coveted offerings of the three-day event.

“Mystic Paint represents everything we believe the future of Quarter Horse racing should look like — speed, soundness, and a proven family,” said Matt Witman of Solo Select. “It’s rare for a champion still in training to be offered publicly, and we were proud to present him at Heritage Place.”

Mystic Paint enters his next chapter after a standout campaign that earned him the 2024 AQHA Racing Champion 3-Year-Old Colt title and $327,538 in earnings. His record includes victories in the Grade 3 Keokuk Stakes and Will Rogers Derby Challenge, plus runner-up finishes in major events such as the Adequan Derby Challenge Championship (G2), Ruidoso Derby (G1), and Prairie Meadows Championship Challenge (G2).

Bred for success, Mystic Paint is by Grade 1 winner and $43 million sire Pyc Paint Your Wagon, one of the industry’s most dominant and influential sires. His dam, Jess So Sixy (SI-101), was a multiple graded stakes finalist who earned more than $145,000 and has proven herself as a producer of both speed and class.

Mystic Paint was presented by Solo Select Horses of Gainesville, Texas, and remains a shining example of the company’s expanding footprint in the racing world, bridging the gap between elite bloodlines and next-generation breeding opportunities.
