Four programs, one idea: the more you choose Solo, the more ways you have to win. Every pot is funded by Solo Select and our stallion owners — the Recipient Mare Incentive by Solo Select alone — and each discipline pot pays two ways: to the riders of the offspring, and to the people holding this year's breeding contracts.

The Four Programs

Each discipline has its own pot and its own payday. The first three pay on the 60/40 split below; the Recipient Mare Incentive stands on its own.

Payout amounts are the office's published estimates for the 2026 season and grow with enrollment. Solo Select retains final authority on eligibility and payouts.

How Every Pot Pays

The Cutting, Reined Cow Horse, and Roping pots all split the same way.

60%

Sire Payout

For the horses. Ride an offspring of a Solo Select stallion enrolled in that program this year, place at the designated event, and you draw from the sire side of the pot. Sire enrollment is set annually — a foal's eligibility follows its sire's current enrollment, with no nomination fee ever.

40%

Contract Payout

For the believers. Hold a paid 2026 breeding contract to an enrolled stallion and compete for the contract side of the pot on any horse you own or ride — by any sire. One paid contract equals one entry, designated before the event. You can qualify for both sides at once.

Who's Eligible for What

Every stallion enrolled in the Solo Select Incentive for 2026. A marks a 2026 enrollment. Enrollment is set year by year — offspring compete for the Sire Payout only in years their sire is enrolled that year. Each stallion's page also lists the industry programs he's enrolled in.

The $100,000 Recipient Mare Incentive

Solo Select manages one of the largest recipient mare herds in the world — more than 2,500 mares selected, managed, and cared for year-round.

Lease one for the 2026 breeding season and you're eligible for $100,000 paid at the 2026 NCHA World Championship Futurity across the Open, Non-Pro, and Amateur divisions. The lease is the eligibility — the embryo can be by any stallion, from any cross, created at any facility.

It's the first program of its kind in the industry — and the only Solo Select incentive that doesn't require a breeding to a Solo Select stallion at all.

Incentive FAQ

What is the Solo Select Incentive?

The Solo Select Incentive is Solo Select Horses' own incentive program — four pots projected at $1,082,000 for 2026: the $427,500 Cutting Incentive, the $154,500 Reined Cow Horse Incentive, the $400,000 Roping Incentive, and the $100,000 Recipient Mare Incentive. The three discipline pots are funded by Solo Select and its stallion owners, and each pays 60% to riders of enrolled stallions' offspring (the Sire Payout) and 40% to holders of same-year breeding contracts (the Contract Payout).

Which stallions are enrolled in the Solo Select Incentive?

Enrollment is set annually per stallion, per program. The eligibility grid on this page lists every Solo Select stallion enrolled for 2026 across the Cutting, Reined Cow Horse, and Roping Incentives, and each stallion's own page lists his enrollments — including the separate third-party industry programs.

Do I have to nominate my foal or pay a fee for the Solo Select Incentive?

No. Solo Select's own incentive programs have no nomination or enrollment fees. Eligibility comes from the horse's sire being enrolled that year (the Sire Payout) or from a paid same-year breeding contract (the Contract Payout). The third-party programs shown with each stallion are separate — each has its own nomination process, fees, and deadlines with that program.

My horse isn't by a Solo Select stallion. Can I still win?

Yes. The Contract Payout — 40% of every pot — is open to any horse by any sire, as long as the registered owner or rider holds a paid breeding contract to an enrolled Solo Select stallion for that same year. One paid contract equals one entry.

Does eligibility carry over from year to year?

No. Stallion enrollment is determined annually and can change from year to year. Offspring compete for the Sire Payout only in years their sire is enrolled and contributing, and a contract qualifies you only for the year it was purchased.

Do rebreeds or contracts bought from another breeder qualify?

No. Contracts are not transferable — a contract purchased from another individual is not eligible, and rebreed contracts do not qualify. Fresh-semen contracts must be used in the year of purchase; ICSI contracts must be used within one year.

What does leasing a Solo Select recipient mare make me eligible for?

The $100,000 Recipient Mare Incentive — the first program of its kind in the industry — paid at the 2026 NCHA World Championship Futurity across the Open, Non-Pro, and Amateur divisions to finalists holding a paid 2026 Solo Select recipient mare lease. The lease is the eligibility — the embryo can come from any cross, created at any facility.

Where do the incentives pay out?

The Cutting Incentive and the Recipient Mare Incentive pay at the NCHA World Championship Futurity in Fort Worth, Texas. The Reined Cow Horse Incentive pays at the NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity. The Roping Incentive pays at the Solo Select Roping Futurity for four-year-olds in heading, heeling, breakaway, and tie-down.

How do I enter?

Designate your horse before the event — each paid contract is assigned to one entry through the entry form ahead of the futurity. For contracts, entries, or eligibility questions, contact the stallion office at (903) 436-6615 or stallions@soloselect.com.
