Key Facts
- He stands at stud by frozen semen only at Solo Select Horses.
Tic Tick Boom Boon didn't take long to make a name for himself. As a 3-year-old he won Top Horse honors at the 2024 WRCA Ranch Rodeo Finals. He followed that up in 2025 with Top Horse honors at both the Waurika Ranch Rodeo and Alpine Ranch Rodeo, plus top honors at the Western Heritage Classic. He also holds his own in limited heeling and ranch versatility, with strong scores at major futurities like the Royal Crown.
Standing 15.1–15.2 hands and around 1,200 lbs, he's built like his résumé reads: heavily boned, athletic, and easy to ride. He's by Smooth As A Cat, NCHA Horse of the Year, NCHA Hall of Fame inductee, and earner of over $500,000, and out of Chita Blue Star, the NCHA earner of $109,594 herself.
His offspring are eligible for the Riata Buckle, Royal Crown, and Solo Select Rope Horse/Stallion Incentives. The Wilsons' own description sums up his signature trait: "unmatched smoothness, ranching ability, and talent in the arena" — and a horse they call "a true game-changer for Wilson Cattle Company."
