Software Engineer

Solo Select Horses, a premier equine operation in Gainesville, Texas, is seeking an experienced Software Developer with a genuine equine background to join our growing team. This is an in-person or hybrid role based in North Texas for someone who knows horses and writes great, clean, reliable code.
The ideal candidate bridges the gap between the barn and the tech world — someone who has worked in equine operations and brings serious software and Al experience to the table.
Requirements:
• Hands-on equine background - breeding, performance horses, veterinary support, or farm management
• Local to North Texas; able to work in-person or hybrid in the Gainesville, 1X area
• 4+ years of professional software development experience
• In-depth, practical AI/ML experience - building and shipping Al-integrated applications
• Strong proficiency in backend and frontend development (Python, Node.js, React, or similar)
• Solid database design skills
• Self-directed, resourceful, and communicates well with non-technical team members
