Solo Select Horses, a premier equine operation in Gainesville, Texas, is seeking a Sale Fitting Assistant to work under Evan Moffitt in our sale fitting barns. This is an in-person role based in North Texas for someone who knows how a cutting, cow horse or reining barn runs.
The ideal candidate has come up through western performance barns and understands that value is built early — every day of conditioning, grooming and handling shows up in the sale ring.
Requirements
- Hands-on western performance background — cutting, cow horse, reining or a comparable program
- Local to North Texas, or willing to relocate to the Gainesville, TX area
- Experience with sale prep — individualized conditioning, clipping and coat work, handling schooling
- Comfortable riding and exercising young horses
- Attentive to daily care details — feeding programs, veterinary and farrier schedules
- Self-directed, dependable, and communicates well with the sale and marketing teams
