Questions & Answers
What is the Solo Select Cutting Horse Incentive?
Two Solo Select pots paid at the 2026 NCHA World Championship Futurity in Fort Worth, Texas: the $479,500 Solo Select Cutting Incentive and the $100,000 Recipient Mare Incentive. The Cutting Incentive pays Open 60%, Non-Pro 20%, and Amateur 20%. The Recipient Mare Incentive is split evenly across the same three divisions.
Which stallions are eligible?
The 2026 Cutting Incentive stallions: Boons Reflections, LBR Hangem, Metallics MVP, Meteles Cat, Stylin High Brow, The Animal, Third Edge, Woody Be Tuff. Enrollment is set year by year — a stallion's 2026 enrollment counts for the 2026 Futurity even if he has since left the roster.
How does the Cutting Incentive pay?
Every check splits 60% to horses sired by an eligible stallion (the Sire Payout) and 40% to horses nominated with a paid 2026 breeding contract to an eligible stallion (the Contract Payout). The Contract Payout is open to any horse by any sire. Only finalists are paid — unclaimed money rolls into next year's purse.
What does a Solo Select recipient mare make me eligible for?
The $100,000 Recipient Mare Incentive — the first program of its kind in the industry — paid at the 2026 NCHA World Championship Futurity across the Open, Non-Pro, and Amateur divisions to finalists holding a paid 2026 Solo Select recipient mare lease. The lease is the eligibility: hold one and make the finals, and you're in — no matter what horse you're showing or who it's by.
Can I qualify for both pots?
Yes — the two pots are separate. Your horse qualifies for the Cutting Incentive if it's sired by an eligible stallion or nominated with a paid 2026 breeding contract to one. You qualify for the Recipient Mare Incentive if you hold a paid 2026 Solo Select recipient mare lease. Meet both, make the finals, and you're paid from both. On the nomination form, check the eligible stallion(s) and the recipient mare box.
Is there a nomination fee?
No. Solo Select's own incentive programs have no nomination or enrollment fees.
Do rebreeds or contracts bought from another breeder qualify?
No. Contracts are not transferable — a contract purchased from another individual is not eligible, and rebreed contracts do not qualify. Fresh-semen contracts must be used in the year of purchase; ICSI contracts must be used within one year.
How do I nominate?
