Going for Gold — $40,882 Earned at the Gold Buckle Futurities

Solo Select stallions Pride And Joyy and Time To Glo had immense success this weekend in Ardmore, Oklahoma. They weren't alone, though, and found themselves in the company of two select mares: Gunna Wanna and Relentless PYC.

Together—piloted by the likes of Miles Baker, Trevor Brazile, and Cheyanne Mccartney the four horses amassed earnings of over $40,000 between average checks, round checks and stallion incentive payouts.

High Money Earner: Time To Glo

Time To Glo, sired by Hickory Holly Time, was the standout of the weekend—earning over $16,000 and claiming the title of highest money earner at the Gold Buckle Futurities.

Under Cheyanne McCartney, he kicked off the weekend with a round win in the 6 & Under Breakaway Roping, adding $1,000 to his earnings on Friday. He went on to finish 5th in the breakaway average and secured an Elite Stallion Incentive payout. On Sunday, under Trevor Brazile, he added to his success with money earned in both the heading average and another Elite Stallion Incentive payout.

Following this weekend, Time To Glo’s lifetime earnings climbed to $255,726, pushing him into elite company as one of the highest-earning rope horse stallions of all time.

“He competed in four events this week. Few stallions can do that and find the success he did,” said Melanie Smith. “Cheyanne gets on him, and every time, they lay down run after run in the breakaway. Then he goes into the heading and heeling and just stays so poised, quiet, and correct.”

Smith added, “We purchased him in June 2024 in partnership with Relentless Remuda, Las Tunas Cattle Co., 3 String Cattle Co., and Kaleb Terlip. His consistency and ability to win under different hands was always something that impressed us when Bobby Lewis owned him. He just went out there and put it all on the line—every single time. And he still does that to this day.”

Second High Money Earner: Pride And Joyy

Pride And Joyy, the powerhouse stallion by Stevie Rey Von and out of Fun N Fancy Free (a daughter of Peptoboonsmal), made a commanding return to the arena following a break for breeding season—and he didn’t miss a beat.

Under the guidance of 26-time World Champion Trevor Brazile, the bay roan stallion affectionately known as Kilo delivered a standout performance in the 6 & Under Heeling on Sunday morning. After three solid rounds, Kilo entered the Maturity Heeling Finals as 4th High Call, ultimately earning a $3,916 check in the average with a score of 908.34 on four head. He added to his weekend earnings with a $4,479 payout from the Elite Stallion Incentive and another $6,250 from the Elite Breeders Incentive.

That $14,645 weekend pushes Pride And Joyy’s lifetime earnings to $328,068, solidifying his rise as one of the most dominant young stallions in the rope horse world. While $50,000 of that total came from his early success in the reined cow horse under Chris Dawson, the rest has been earned solely on the heel side.

Pride And Joyy's Fresh/Frozen books are FULL for 2025, ICSI Contracts remain open. Click Here to book now OR get on his 2026 waitlist Here.
