Butch Wise

Floyd E. “Butch” Wise is an AQHA Past President, bloodstock agent and member of the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame Class of 2026. Across a career beginning in 1978, he has been part of Quarter Horse programs responsible for many millions of dollars in racing earnings and major wins. He has been associated with seven All American Futurity winners, including five in six years from 1989–1994. Wise found and sold AQHA Hall of Fame champion Refrigerator, assembled the syndicate behind All American Futurity winner Teller Cartel and helped position Corona Cartel at Lazy E Ranch. As a Solo Select advisor, he writes from decades of firsthand experience in bloodstock acquisition, pedigree evaluation, stallion management, yearling selection and sale strategy.
