Chelsea Shaffer contributes to Solo Select Horses on a contract basis. She is Equine Network’s Western Sports Group editorial director and publisher, leading creative direction for The Team Roping Journal, The Breakaway Roping Journal, BarrelRacing.com and CalfRoping.com. A 2010 graduate of Ohio University’s Honors Tutorial College, Chelsea received the 2017 WPRA Media Award for promotion of the sport and has built her career around rigorous news reporting and storytelling in team roping and the western performance horse industry.
