Four Solo Select Stallion Prospects Sell Friday at Old West Rope Horse Sale
Lews Yo Self, Bankkrolll, Cool Whips and Titos N Buckles bring four distinct stallion pedigrees to the Old West Rope Horse Sale in Amarillo.
Solo Select Horses offers four stallion prospects Friday, Oct. 16, at the Old West Rope Horse Sale in Amarillo, Texas: Lews Yo Self, Bankkrolll, Cool Whips and Titos N Buckles.
Lews Yo Self, Bankkrolll and Cool Whips are consigned by Solo Select Horses and Relentless Remuda, the program of Pro Rodeo’s winningest cowboy, Trevor Brazile, and world renowned trainer, Miles Baker. Titos N Buckles is consigned by Solo Select Horses and 3 String Cattle, the performance-horse and cattle breeding and training program with operations in Wallsburg, Utah, and Poolville, Texas.
Old West says these sale graduates will have access to more than $3 million in 2027 incentives and bonus opportunities.
Hip No. 17: Lews Yo Self
Lews Yo Self is a 2025 bay roan stallion by Big Lew out of Relentless Glory, consigned by Solo Select Horses and Relentless Remuda.
The yearling follows his maternal half sibling Relentless Empire into the Old West sale ring four months after she brought $900,000 as the Heber City sale’s high seller. That result puts proven market demand behind the family before Lews Yo Self begins his own performance or breeding career.
Relentless Glory won more than $48,000 according to Equi-Stat, though her true earnings on both the head and heel side under Trevor Brazile exceed that figure significantly. Glory is by the leading sire Metallic Cat, whose offspring have earned more than $85 million. Her dam, Z Oh Six, is a full sister to many winners, including Trevor’s great calf horse Deputy; who he rode at the National Finals Rodeo for nearly a decade.
Big Lew is a $638,878-earning son of the legendary Corona Cartel. His progeny have earnings of $2,731,882 including 8 blacktype stakes winners. Lews Yo Self combines that speed influence with Relentless Glory’s performance record, the Metallic Cat line and the immediate family behind an Old West sale topper.
Hip No. 24: Bankkrolll
Bankkrolll is a 2023 blue roan stallion by Badboonarising out of Lady Metallic, consigned by Solo Select Horses and Relentless Remuda.
Badboonarising was the 2018 NCHA Open Futurity Reserve Champion and a $367,101 earner, out of Show Biz Kitty—the No. 1 all-time leading dam of cutting money earners—by Once In A Blu Boon, which is where the roan comes from. His dam, Lady Metallic, earned over $130,000 in the cutting and is an own daughter of Metallic Cat, out of Moms Stylish Lady. That’s the two biggest names in the cutting business on one set of papers, and the color to go with it.
Blue roan studs bred like this don’t come through a ring often. He’s got the mind to match the breeding. A stallion this well bred with a head like his doesn’t just have a career ahead of him, he’s got a whole program in him.
Hip No. 26: Cool Whips
Cool Whips is a 2023 gray roan stallion by Metallic Cat out of Watch Me Whip, consigned by Solo Select Horses and Relentless Remuda.
The gray stallion is backed by major credentials on both sides of his pedigree. A gray own son of Metallic Cat is about as rare as this business gets, and he’s still a stallion. Metallic Cat earned $637,711 and 2009 NCHA Horse of the Year honors. The High Brow Cat son is out of Chers Shadow, and his progeny have lifetime QData earnings of $88,823,003.
His dam is no ordinary broodmare either. The Playgun daughter Watch Me Whip has $184,023 in total QData lifetime earnings and earned the 2016 NCHA Non-Pro Horse of the Year title. Behind her the page traces back to The Smart Look, one of the great producing mares in the breed.
Somebody’s going to build a program around this horse. Cool Whips combines a leading sire with an NCHA Non-Pro Horse of the Year in a gray roan stallion package. His pedigree gives a buyer a prospect to develop in the arena with long-term stallion potential.
Hip No. 32: Titos N Buckles
Titos N Buckles is a 2024 buckskin stallion by Show Me The Buckles out of Day Drinker, consigned by Solo Select Horses and 3 String Cattle.
Show Me The Buckles is by Wimpys Little Step out of Sunset Whiz. His rope horse record includes Tuckin Away Buckles, another buckskin known as Dagger, who won the American Rope Horse Futurity 4-Year-Old World Championship with Trevor Brazile. Brazile said he was cowy, fast, and trainable as they come. Underneath that sits real speed, Day Drinker is an Apollitical Jess daughter, a world champion and $1,399,831 earner whose foals have won north of $57 million on the track.
Titos N Buckles is the run-and-cow cross everybody’s chasing right now, in a buckskin package.
The Old West Rope Horse Sale begins at 6 p.m. CST Friday at the Amarillo Tri-State Fairgrounds. Online viewing and bidding are available through CCI.live. View the four Solo Select consignments, or find catalog and sale information at oldwest.com/pages/horse-sale.
