Combined with Friday’s $1,292,000 in sales, Solo Select finished the sale with 49 yearlings sold for $3,703,000, averaging $75,571 per horse. Across both sessions, 12 yearlings brought six figures.
Behind those results were the people who prepared the horses, brought buyers and sellers together, and kept the sale moving through two full days.
"Results like these start long before the horses walk into the sale ring. Our entire Solo Select crew put in the work to have these yearlings ready and keep everything running smoothly. We’re grateful to Ruidoso Horse Sales for putting on this event, to our consignors for trusting us with their horses, and to every buyer who invested in our consignment," Matt Witman, Racing Sales Manager at Solo Select Horses, said.
Solo Select extends its sincere thanks to the entire Ruidoso Horse Sales team for the work that goes into putting on this event. From the planning long before the sale to the coordination throughout each session, that effort creates an opportunity for breeders, consignors and buyers to come together. We appreciate everyone who helped make this year’s sale possible.
To the entire Solo Select crew: thank you. These results represent far more than two days in the sale ring. They reflect the daily care, preparation, early mornings, late nights and attention each horse received along the way. To everyone at home and at the sale who had a hand in getting these yearlings ready, showing them to buyers and keeping everything running smoothly, your work mattered. We are proud of this crew and grateful for the care you put into every part of the job.
Solo Select also thanks the consignors who entrusted the team with their yearlings and the buyers who chose to invest in them. That trust carries responsibility, and we appreciate the opportunity to represent these horses and the programs behind them.
As these yearlings head to their next homes, we look forward to following their progress. To everyone who helped make this Ruidoso sale a success, thank you.
