Solo Select Sells $1.292 Million on Opening Day of Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale

Twenty yearlings averaged $64,600 as Solo Select heads into today’s second session.

RUIDOSO DOWNS, N.M., Sept. 5, 2026 — Solo Select sold 20 yearlings for $1,292,000 during Friday’s opening session of the 2026 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale, led by Jess Flying Speed at $245,000, with more of the consignment selling today.

Twenty yearlings averaged $64,600 as Solo Select heads into today’s second session.

Four yearlings brought six figures, with Cash Cowboy selling for $155,000, The Cosmos bringing $150,000 and Jess Kissin My Candy selling for $107,000.

Solo Select’s 6 highest-selling yearlings were: Jess Flying Speed - $245,000, Cash Cowboy - $155,000, The Cosmos - $150,000, Jess Kissin My Candy - $107,000, Jess Flying Bye - $85,000, Fox Mountain - $55,000,

Across all 20 yearlings sold, Solo Select averaged $64,600 and recorded total sales of $1,292,000.

The sale continues today, Saturday, Sept. 5, with hips 207–413. Solo Select returns for the second session with additional yearlings available from its consignment.
