Key Facts

  • Jaguarr is by Dash Ta Fame out of Rosas Cantina CC, by Corona Cartel.
  • Jaguarr is a 2017 sorrel stallion.

Jaguarr’s pedigree is barrel racing royalty. He is by the legendary Dash Ta Fame, the all-time leading barrel racing sire, and out of Lisa Lockhart’s “Rosa”—Rosas Cantina CC, the buckskin 6-time NFR qualifier still adding to her $677,168 LTE.

Jaguarr embodied the very best of his bloodlines. Correctly built, sharp-minded, and remarkably composed for a young stud, he carried himself with a presence that was hard to overlook. Those who knew him often said his kindness matched his talent, a rare combination in a performance stallion. He was a personable, affectionate horse in the barn, but all business when it was time to work.

Trained and jockeyed by Lynn Kohr throughout his aged event career, Jaguarr was also ridden during his futurity season by Ryann Pedone. He earned titles including YETI Classic Futurity Average WPRA Incentive Reserve Champion, a finalist placing at the GRIDIRON Barrels Breeders Futurity, and multiple additional futurity and race placings. He was finding his stride at every level before his untimely passing.

While his own time in the arena was cut short, those closest to him believe his greatest impact was always meant to come through his offspring.

Those who have ridden Jaguarr progeny consistently point to one defining trait: trainability. His colts are known for their minds. They want to work. They want to do what’s asked. They adapt to their rider and rise to the job in front of them whether that’s the barrel pen, the rope arena, or even the cow horse world. Wyldcat, a money earner in the reined cow horse, is proof that his offspring can excel far beyond what their barrel pedigree might suggest.

Though gone too soon, Jaguarr’s legacy is only gaining momentum. His first foal crop arrived in 2021 and is already making noise. Standouts like Nittyy Grittyy, campaigned by Abby Fields, surpassed $67,000 in earnings in the barrels last year. Jaguarr ranked among the Top 50 barrel racing sires for 2025—a remarkable achievement for a stallion whose full story in the arena was never finished.

Those who stood beside him knew he was special. His offspring are now beginning to prove it.
