LAS VEGAS — LBR Hangem marked a 222 last night to finish 5th in the $250,000 Run For A Million Cutting Horse Challenge, taking home $21,000 and pushing his lifetime earnings to $615,910.
Fresh off a 227 to win the West Texas Futurity Open 5/6, "Shotty" arrived in Las Vegas late Monday night, stepped off the trailer, and went right back to work against the toughest field in the sport. Shown by Kenny Platt, they put on a show.
It takes a rare athlete to haul straight out of a major win in West Texas, travel over a thousand miles, and immediately go to battle on cutting’s biggest stage. But that blue-collar work ethic is precisely what has made Shotty a household name across the industry.
