WHITESBORO, TEXAS – Solo Select Horses and Relentless Remuda continue to feature the very best across the Western world by offering an industry-changing stallion prospect. Blackkout, a 2021 black stallion, sells with a Pink Buckle stallion spot Oct. 5 during the Pink Buckle Stallion Owners Select Sale.
“We have seen the value of the Pink Buckle Slots rise year after year,” Solo Select CEO Ty Smith said. “Anymore, it is tough to have a successful barrel stallion without the incentive slots, and they are nearly impossible to find. To buy a stallion prospect of this caliber, with an incentive slot already in place, is a huge investment opportunity for anyone. There’s no better business in the horse world than owning a stallion, and this one has all the characteristics we look for.” Pictured above : Miles Baker and Blackkout

Blackkout has been in training with 26-time World Champion Trevor Brazile and futurity trainer Miles Baker, who are the winningest trainers in the rope horse futurity business with an affinity for running-bred horses.
“He’s set up for success, it doesn’t matter the direction you go or who ends up with him, ” the Relentless Remuda’s Miles Baker said. “At this point you can put a pattern on him, and he is ready to succeed. He is one of the nicest barrel-bred colts we have ever started.”
The hard-to-buy Pink Buckle stallion slot will sweeten the deal for buyers, providing the horse and his new owners with an opportunity to join the richest and most in-demand incentive in the performance horse world.

Though bred impeccably, what makes Blackkout a true standout stallion prospect is his mind and natural ability.
“Blackkout is just exceptionally good-minded, he rides around soft and is incredibly kind,” Melanie Smith, owner and founder of Solo Select Horses, said. “He has everything it takes to bring someone's program to the next level. This is an incredible investment opportunity.”
Blackkout is sired by Highpoint Performance Horses great $6-million sire and earner of over $366,000, Winners Version. His dam, the blue hen mare RC Back In Black, won over $100,000 in her career, with the bulk of her rodeo earnings going undocumented. She was a three-time National Finals Rodeo qualifier with multiple NFR round wins to her name. RC Back In Black’s produce is stacked with 1D money earners, rodeo winners and arena-record holders. Her foals have won over $760,000 thus far, including Slick N Black (LTE $268,940) and RC Famous In Black (LTE $86,065).
“We’ve seen the Winners Versions excel in the roping arena,” Trevor Brazile said. “They have explosive out-of-the-gate speed that is absolutely essential in both the roping and the barrel racing. And for all of their speed, they’ve proven athletic and exceptionally trainable.”
The 2021 stallion is set to sell Oct. 5, 2023, in the Pink Buckle Select Sale with a Pink Buckle Stallion Slot. Since the start of Pink Buckle in 2018, Stallion Slots have become wildly sought after and have become a mark of greatness for the stallions that hold them. Foals by enrolled stallions are eligible to run for MILLIONS, making it the world's richest barrel race. This year the race is guaranteed to pay out over $4 million, a $3-million increase since the incentive’s first year.
“The sky's the limit with this young stallion,” Brazile said. “If you’re looking to elevate your program, he is it. The opportunity to own a horse of this caliber is rare, and to sell with a Pink Buckle spot, he is a golden ticket to success.”
