Solo Select Opens the Ranch: 250+ Sale Horses, All 2027 Stallion & Symposium Set for Nov. 20–21 Open House

Everything Solo Select is putting on the table this November, in one place for two days.

  • GAINESVILLE, Texas — Solo Select will open its ranch to buyers, breeders and horsemen Friday and Saturday, Nov. 20–21, for a two-day open house built around a preview of more than 250 sale horses, a showcase of every stallion standing in 2027, and a seven-session symposium presented by Solo Select Advisory.

The 250-plus horses span three catalogs available to walk and evaluate on the grounds: the Solo November Sale, the NCHA Futurity Sale and the exclusive 88 Ranch Production Sale. Barns are open Friday from noon to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., giving buyers two full days to work through the string.

The stallion showcase runs both days, with every Solo Select stallion standing in 2027 out to meet. Among them are LBR Hangem, the current NCHA Horse of the Year leader and NCHA Hall of Fame inductee syndicated in June, and The Darkk Side, the first rope horse stallion ever syndicated.

Friday's Advisory Symposium is the education centerpiece. Presented by Solo Select Advisory, the seated, intimate program runs seven sessions on the most requested topics inside the operation: ICSI; preparing your mare for breeding season; nutrition from conception to sale day; marketing your breeding program and prospects; stallion matchmaking; the 2-year-old game; and careers in the equine industry. Speakers are to be announced.

Saturday adds private syndicate meetings for members, including the LBR Hangem and The Darkk Side syndicates. The ranch stays open to everyone else during that time.

Visitors can also tour the facilities and meet the Solo Select team, who will be on the grounds all weekend. High school, FFA and college programs making the trip can contact the ranch to plan a group visit.
