Too Hot To Tagg is by Hashtags, the 2018 NCHA Open World Champion with lifetime earnings exceeding $485,000. Too Hot To Tagg's dam, Too Hot, is a full sister to the legendary Second Spot, the 2016 NCHA Open Futurity Champion who earned $449,000. While Too Hot was not a performer herself, her potential as a producer is now undeniable. Her first foal, by Kit Kat Sugar, has already earned $55,000. Too Hot To Tagg is her second foal.

Too Hot To Tagg’s journey to the Futurity Championship began when he was sold in Solo Select’s 2023 New Year's Day Sale to Bo Warren, who trained him during his two-year-old year. He was consigned by Robert Nobles of Abilene, Texas - who bought his mother from Wes Ashlock in foal to Hashtags in 2020. In December 2023, JH Nail Ranch (Jamie Nail), a part-owner of Hashtags, purchased the promising colt. Under the guidance of cutting horse trainer Kenny Platt, Too Hot To Tagg spent his three-year-old year preparing for his historic Futurity run. Kenny Platt, who now also pilots Solo Select’s newest stallion LBR Hangem and three year old stallion Alll In, demonstrated masterful skill in showcasing Too Hot To Tagg's raw talent and athleticism in the arena.
