Rare Air: Filly o/o Full Sister to NFR Head Horse SJR Diamond Billy By Pride And Joyy SELLS Sept. 1

This one is special.

The bay filly selling at Lot 112 in the Solo Select Labor Day Sale on Monday, Sept. 1, is rope horse royalty.

She’s one of the first-ever public offerings by Pride And Joyy, a standout earner of $363,780 in the cow horse and heeling. On her dam’s side, she’s out of SJR Diamonds Billie—a full sister to NFR header Cody Snow's SJR Diamond Billy, the first futurity head horse to compete at the NFR before aging out.

Bred and raised by Ty Smith at Solo Select, Pride And Joyy has quickly become one of the most versatile and highest-profile horses in the industry. By NCHA Futurity Champion Stevie Rey Von and out of Peptoboonsmal daughter Fun And Fancy Free, 'Kilo' entered the show pen with pedigree and presence on his side. As a 3-year-old under Chris Dawson, he earned more than $50,000 in reined cow horse competition, highlighted by a top 10 finish at the NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity.

The stallion’s career then shifted to the roping pen, where the Relentless Remuda's 26-time World Champion Trevor Brazile and Miles Baker piloted the him to win after win. Pride And Joyy adapted immediately, winning in the heeling and quickly establishing himself as one of the most dominant and versatile horses competing today. His lifetime earnings now stand at $363,780, making him the highest-earning offspring of Stevie Rey Von. He continues to be shown under the Relentless Remuda through his 5- and 6-year-old years.

“Pride And Joyy is one of the most versatile horses we’ve ever bred. He’s shown he can succeed at the very highest levels in both the cow horse and roping arenas, and we’re excited to see his first foals offered to the public.” — Ty Smith, breeder

Lot 112’s dam adds even more power to the pedigree. SJR Diamonds Billie is a CD Diamond daughter currently in training for the roping futurities. Her dam, Billies Smooth Cat, earned $48,000 and has produced more than $316,000, including SJR Diamond Billy, who has won $279,000 and appeared at the 2024 NFR under Cody Snow. With an unshakable mind, SJR Diamond Billy also competed at the Bob Feist Invitational as just a 6-year-old and has held up to the grueling rodeo road while most horses are just seasoning. The maternal line is as deep as it is consistent, crossing perfectly with Pride And Joyy’s proven versatility.

“This filly is bred to be a supersta. She has the kind of pedigree that sets her up to succeed in the cow horse or the roping pen, and she’s eligible for millions in incentives.” — Ty Smith

With a sire rewriting records and a maternal line already producing champions, Lot 112 represents the rare chance to buy into Pride And Joyy’s very first foal crop—a filly bred for the spotlight from the start.
