This 2020 stallion stands at 14.3 hands and offers a rare combination of elite bloodlines, proven performance, and untapped potential in the breeding barn. Shining is sired by the legendary Shining Spark, whose influence on the Western performance horse industry is unparalleled. Out of Whiz Jewels by Topsail Whiz, this young stallion represents generations of champions.

To date, Shining has earned $28,170 in NRHA lifetime earnings, a testament to his talent and trainability. His sire, Shining Spark, needs little introduction. An AQHA World Champion and NRHA Derby Champion, Shining Spark was the first $4 Million Sire in NRHA history and the first $3 Million Sire in NRCHA history. He remains EquiStat’s All-Time Leading Reined Cow Horse Sire and ranks among the Top 10 All-Time Leading Reining Sires, with over $10.7 million in offspring earnings and over $16 million in producer earnings across multiple disciplines.

On the maternal side, Shining is equally distinguished. His dam, Whiz Jewels, earned $102,435 in the show pen, competing almost exclusively in open divisions—a mark of true grit and staying power. As a broodmare, she has produced $492,706 in NRHA earnings, including Spooks N Jewels, an NRHA earner of $200,508.

Shining’s second dam, Hot Hollywood Jewels (by Hollywood Dun It), earned $42,981 and has produced over $375,000, including the standout Hot Hollywood Whizky, an NRHA earner of $118,074.
