Solo Select is grateful for the overwhelming support and interest in our Open House. With more than 750 guests planning to attend, this event was shaping up to be our largest and most exciting yet.
We have made the difficult decision to postpone the event until a later date—likely in January. However, our annual Black-Friday Sales on stallion fees will still go on, and as usual, you will NOT want to miss them.

While the industry addresses recent EHV concerns, Solo Select has already implemented clear and effective biosecurity measures designed to keep the risk of human-to-horse transmission extremely low.
“After consulting with multiple veterinarians and biosecurity specialists, we were confident the protocols we were putting into place for the event reduced the already minimal risk of human-to-horse transmission to nearly zero, no greater than the baseline risk during routine visitation when no outbreak is occurring, but we did not want to take any chances,” Melanie Smith said.
Solo Select has been closed to any new horses arriving at either location since Monday morning and will continue to stay closed to any horses arriving, including recipient mare returns, until further notice.
We will announce a new Open House date soon, and we look forward to welcoming everyone for an even bigger and better event. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
