The record breaker.

This mare is the kind that puts programs on the map, her foals have been nothing short of spectacular - with impressive size, bone, class, and true athletes. In 2023, Black Magic Woman a black filly by Shining Spark, SHATTERED the High-Selling yearling record at $180,000 in the NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity Sale.

This mare has a long list of accomplishments in the reined cow horse and the roping with Brad Lund. Her very first foal by Hickory Holly Time was the 2020 Reno Snaffle Bit Futurity Champion and an NRCHA Futurity Open Finalist! Carrera Cat herself was a multiple-time Open and World Show Finalist, had 167 AQHA points and was a AQHA High Point Open Heeling mare.

This is the kind of Metallic Cat mare we love to see – she has a lot of size, bone and substance! Most of the Carrera Cat foals have been black-based. She has an exciting group of foals coming of age in 2025, and we are anxiously awaiting their arrival to the show pen in the coming years.

Frequently Asked

What am I actually buying from Carrera Cat?
An embryo — a foal — out of Carrera Cat. Not the mare herself. She stays with her owner, and the foal is 100% yours.
What does Carrera Cat's price mean?
Her Custom ICSI Aspiration: $40,000 covers one aspiration cycle with the stallion you choose, and includes your first embryo.
What if my aspiration produces more than one embryo?
They're yours. Each additional embryo from Carrera Cat's aspiration is $20,000 — half her listed price — and you're only billed if it produces a live foal.
What if the aspiration produces zero embryos?
Re-aspirate Carrera Cat next season for just another $2,000 chute fee, or put your purchase price (minus the chute fee) toward any other mare in the program.
