ThorSport’s Reyzd Tuff Earns $11,976 at SRCHA Open Futurity
The 2023 Woody Be Tuff colt out of Select Genes mare Carrera Cat tied for third/fourth with Clayton Edsall.
FORT WORTH, Texas—Select Genes mare Carrera Cat added to a big weekend for her offspring when ThorSport’s Reyzd Tuff and Clayton Edsall tied for third/fourth in the Open Futurity with a 655.5 aggregate and earned $11,976 at the Southwest Reined Cow Horse Association (SRCHA) Pre-Futurity and Horse Show.
Reyzd Tuff marked a 219.5 in the fence work during the Aug. 9 final at Will Rogers Memorial Center. SRCHA staged the event Aug. 4–10.
Bred by Cudd Quarter Horses, Reyzd Tuff was offered in 2024 by Solo Select Horses, agent for Clyde RB Enterprises. He now competes for ThorSport with Clayton Edsall.
Reyzd Tuff is by Woody Be Tuff and out of Select Genes mare Carrera Cat, a Metallic Cat daughter out of Lively Dual, by Dual Rey.
It was a big weekend for Carrera Cat. Her produce also includes Diceman, a 2022 stallion by Shining Spark. Diceman and Britt Williams earned $26,792 at the 2026 Royal Crown Rapid City, winning the 4 & Under Semi Pro Heading Championship with a 590.56 average and earning the Intermediate Heading Reserve Championship with a 603.43 aggregate.
Both Reyzd Tuff and Diceman were bred by Cudd Quarter Horses, owned by Renee Cudd. Their results highlighted Carrera Cat’s produce in reined cow horse and heading competition by two different sires.
ThorSport, owner of Reyzd Tuff, purchased the 200-acre former Cardinal Valley Ranch in Aubrey, Texas, in February 2025 to support its breeding, raising, training, showing and sales operation. With assistance from NRHA Million Dollar Rider Tom McCutcheon, ThorSport assembled a broodmare group and added nearly 40 young horses by leading stallions. Duane Latimer leads the operation’s Western performance training team.
