Billadeau's Carrera Cat Colt Diceman Earns $26,792 at Royal Crown Rapid City
Diceman wins the 4 & Under Semi Pro Heading Championship, takes the Intermediate Heading Reserve Championship and delivers three winning runs.
Diceman, the Carrera Cat colt owned by Wade and Layne Billadeau and shown by Britt Williams, earned $26,792 at the 2026 Royal Crown Rapid City while winning the 4 & Under Semi Pro Heading Championship and the Intermediate Heading Reserve Championship.
Williams’ assessment of the stallion preceded the Rapid City results. In a March profile published by Team Roping Journal, Williams called Diceman the best colt he had ridden and said the stallion showed uncommon physical and mental maturity as a 3-year-old.
Diceman is by Shining Spark and out of Renee Cudd's Carrera Cat, by Metallic Cat and out of Lively Dual, by Dual Rey. Cudd Quarter Horses LLC bred Diceman. He was spent his two-year-old year with Tyson Benson before going to Williams.
Diceman's dam, Carrera Cat was an Open finalist at the Reno RCH Futurity with Brad Lund. With Lund, she placed fourth in Junior Heading and eighth in Junior Heeling at the 2017 AQHA World Show and earned an AQHA Superior award in heeling. Carrera Cat’s Solo Select produce record lists more than $87,170 in offspring earnings and 167 AQHA points. Her produce includes Holly Cat Carrera, a $72,279 cow horse earner and Reno RCH Open Futurity Champion.
The mare also produced Solo Tuff, a Woody Be Tuff son who sold for $150,000 in Heber City. Diceman’s championship, reserve title and $26,792 Rapid City campaign add current rope horse results to Carrera Cat’s established performance and market record.
