By Marie Oneill

Fastrack’s October Mixed Sale goes live online Sunday, October 25, with 41 lots on offer from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CDT.

The catalog spans the full spectrum of a Quarter Horse racing program: frozen embryos, recipient mares carrying 2027 foals, pregnant mares, broodmare prospects, a foal, yearlings, a Grade 2 stallion prospect, and racehorses ready to run.

BROWSE THE CATALOG

Ahead of the auction, AQHA Hall of Famer Butch Wise and Freddy Carmona sat down for a full preview episode of the Fastrack podcast—available in both English and Spanish—to walk through the catalog, highlight where the best value sits, and explain how to bid smart on sale day.

Top Broodmares & High Desert Farms Consignment

The heart of the sale features a deep group of 12 mares consigned by Enrique Gonzalez’s High Desert Farms in Northern California. Every mare in the consignment is in foal to A Mere Felix, a Grade 1-producing son of Favorite Cartel whose top runners include Ed Burke Million Futurity (G1) winner Jess Im Worth It ($665,234) and Favorite Jesshawk ($493,939). The High Desert mares sell as 2-in-1 packages.

Hip 145 - Kittyana:

A proven producer with over $105,000 in winners to her credit, coming out of a strong Los Alamitos family and selling in foal to Apolitical.

Miss Jess Lips V:

A proven multiple stakes producer back in foal for a full sibling to a horse Fastrack previously sold for $155,000.

Frozen Embryos

The catalog includes frozen embryos by proven sires and recipient mares carrying 2027 foals.Purchased embryos can be implanted into a recipient mare by a reproductive veterinarian starting February 1. While buyers take on standard biological risks, Wise points out that frozen embryos grant buyers "access to genetics that you probably would have never had the chance to get access to otherwise."

Stallion Prospect

Aint He Tempting

Aint He Tempting, a Grade 2 winner with $260,000 in track earnings, sells as a stallion prospect. His first crop of foals are 2026 yearlings, giving prospective buyers a chance to secure a stallion right as his first runners hit the track.

Yearlings, Racehorses & Foal

The catalog also features a great offering of young horses and race-ready prospects. Eight yearlings—comprising five colts and three fillies—by top-tier stallions, head to the auction block. Buyers seeking immediate track action will find four racehorses ready to run, led by Rainbow Derby qualifier Get Gone with over $60,000 in career earnings, along with a winner coming off a recent victory at Will Rogers Downs.
