The Solo Select Rope Horse Futurity crowned its champions and paid out a record breaking $760,400.

The Solo Select Rope Horse Futurity paid $760,400 over two days of competition when it wrapped up on October 1, 2026, a $178,820 jump from the $581,580 paid in 2025. That represents a 30.75% year-over-year increase across heading, heeling, calf roping and breakaway. The best 4-year-old rope horses in the country in the country came to head, heel, calf rope and breakaway. The clean slate short rounds set the stage for them to leave it all out there, and the sire pots paid out big.

The Stallions Behind the Winners.

It pays to breed to a Solo Select stallion, and the sire pot payouts this week were the proof. Metallic Cattack offspring led the way with $128,243 won, including $89,700 in sire pot money earned by Kryptoniite, Thiccthirty and King Catt in heading, calf roping and breakaway. Metallics Ace, a Metallics MVP offspring, was the highest-earning horse of the futurity with $100,405 from the Heeling Sire Pot Championship and a second-place finish in the Magill Livestock Insurance Heeling Futurity. Kryptoniite was the second-highest earner with $96,783 from Heading Sire Pot Championship, fourth-place finish in the open heading, a round win in the open calf roping, and a 3rd place finish in the Calf Roping Sire Pot. The Animal daughter Tammy Dell picked up $24,780 for 2nd in the Heeling Sire Pot, and Cowwasaki by Once In A Blu Boon was 3rd in the Heeling Sire Pot for $19,824. Woody Be Tuff offspring rounded it out with $25,650 when Woodys Girl Time won the Heeling Intermediate Sire Pot.

Hubbard Feeds Heading Futurity Pays Out $336,100: Df Stolen Documents Takes the Title

The heading paid $276,600 in the open and an additional $59,500 in the intermediate.

Df Stolen Documents and Billie Jack Saebens of Nowata, Oklahoma, won the Futurity Heading with a finals score of 306.82, earning $60,403 for owner Dixon Flowers Quarter Horses. The mare is by Cfour Stoikelly and out of Seven S April Fool. Trevor Brazile finished right behind her on Relentless Again (Genuine Masterpiece x Taras First Note) with a 305.06 for $52,219. Kaleb Driggers and Ninety Seven Chevy were 3rd with a 302.42 for $41,775.

Brazile placed 4th on Kryptoniite (Metallic Cattack x Fun N Fancy Free), worth $32,823, but as the Heading Sire Pot Champion, Kryptoniite took home a total of $92,823 in the heading. Clyde Bolejack and Shhhh Im Talking rounded out the top five in the open, worth $22,380, and also won the Hubbard Feeds Heading Futurity Intermediate Finals worth another $23,800, for a total of $46,180.

Magill Livestock Insurance Heeling Futurity Pays Out $332,200: Gun Shyy Posts the High Score of the Futurity

The heeling paid $274,700 in the open and an additional $57,500 in the intermediate.

The highest score of the event came in the heeling finals. Gun Shyy and Dakota Kirchenschlager of Whitesboro, Texas, marked a 309.84 to win $47,654 for Tnt Performance Horses. The Spooks Gotta Whiz son, out of Lil Gun Affair, also won Round 1 worth another $2,500.

Billie Jack Saebens had another big win. He finished 2nd on Metallics Ace (Metallics Mvp x Shining Smart Remedy) with a 307.27 for $40,405, and Metallics Ace went on to win the Heeling Sire Pot Bonus for $60,000, bringing the horse's total to more than $100,000. It pays to breed to a Solo Select stallion. Colton Mccarley and Fly Mister were 3rd with a 306.91 for $32,324. Tyler Worley and Tammy Dell as well as Paul Eves and Cowwasaki picked up $24,780 and $19,824 in the sire pot. In the Intermediate Finals, Luke Atchison and Cee Bobby Harlan won with a 299.82 for $18,200. Woodys Girl Time and Les D Oswald were 2nd and also won the Intermediate Sire Pot for $12,000.

Calf Roping Futurity Pays Out $45,400: Dont Quote Me Delivers for Cody Mccartney

Cody Mccartney of Kingston, Oklahoma, won the Futurity Calf Roping on Dont Quote Me (Taggline x Bcr Popular Scotti) with a 301.44, earning $11,800 for owners Bailey or Tia Moore. Haven Meged and Afulldancecard were 2nd with a 300.58 for $7,080. Mccartney also placed 3rd on Thiccthirty (Metallic Cattack x Nurse Connie), and that horse won the Calf Roping Sire Pot Bonus for $9,900. Metallic Cattack offspring took all three sire pot checks, with King Catt 2nd and Kryptoniite 3rd.

Breakaway Futurity Pays Out $46,700: Kansas Kat Comes Through

Micah Arnold and Kansas Kat (Bamacat x Dmac Lenapop) w****on the Futurity Breakaway with a 303.18 for $17,400. The horse is owned by Coy and Micah Arnold and also won Round 2. Sarah Angelone and Diva In Mink were 2nd for $10,440, and Maci Berry and Tms Dual Crush were 3rd for $6,960. Thiccthirty, this time ridden by Cheyanne Mccartney, won the Breakaway Sire Pot Bonus for $9,900. Along with the Round 1 breakaway win, that gave the gelding sire pot wins in two events.
