$6,800,000 later – Some days are ordinary, and some days change the course of history.
Every once in a while, you get a day that reshapes the record books.
That’s exactly what happened yesterday at the Teton Ridge Absolute Dispersal Sale.
Two daughters of Once In A Blu Boon accounted for $6.8 million in sales. That makes Blu the only stallion in recent memory to see two of his daughters eclipse the seven-figure mark at the same sale.

All Spice – $5,000,000
They were all waiting for Hip 62. From the moment she walked into the ring, you could feel the air shift. The sale arena grew quiet, every eye locked on the board as the numbers began to climb. Bid after bid, the energy surged, fierce.

At $5 million, the gavel fell and history was made.
All Spice wasn’t just another high-seller. She came to the ring with $571,049 in lifetime earnings, an NCHA Open Futurity Championship, an NCHA Horse of the Year title, and a spot in the NCHA Hall of Fame.

Twice In Santiago – $1,800,000
After All Spice, the sale had more fireworks in store.Twice In Santiago, a daughter of Once In A Blu Boon out of a High Brow Cat mare, brought the house down when the hammer dropped at $1.8 million.
With $276,587 earned in the show pen, she was the 2019 NCHA Futurity Reserve Champion, the 2020 NCHA Horse of the Year, and an NCHA Open Derby Champion.
The Power of Blu
Who else sires two mares bringing $6.8 million in one day? That’s a Once In A Blu Boon thing.
Seeing two daughters of Once In A Blu Boon cross the million-dollar mark at the same sale is more than extraordinary.

Once In A Blu Boon’s owner, Jill Freeman, is extremely honored to see the attention that All Spice and Twice In Santiago ignited.
“Once In A Blu Boon is the definition of a true broodmare sire, and mares like All Spice and Twice In Santiago prove it. Blu offers one of the most evident outcross options in the industry—anyone serious about breeding can see it.”
But then again, Blu has never been ordinary. With more than $14.5 million in offspring earnings across cutting, cow horse, and beyond, his influence is as versatile as it is dominant. What makes him truly unique is the way he stamps his progeny: consistency, athleticism, cow sense, and trainability. From the show pen to the breeding barn, his daughters are carrying his legacy forward at the very highest level of the industry.
Jill Freeman expressed pride in seeing every offspring in the sale bring strong prices. “It proves that people believe in his future just as much as we do—and I love that,” she said.
Yesterday’s results were living proof of a sire whose name is now synonymous with greatness.
Congratulations to Rocking P Ranch on acquiring two of the most important mares in the business.
