Solo Select continued its momentum in the Quarter Horse racing world with an impressive $1,558,000 in gross sales at the 2025 Heritage Place Yearling Sale, held September 17-19 in Oklahoma City, where they represented 61 horses and once again demonstrated their ability to showcase quality yearlings and connect top-tier buyers with elite bloodlines.

Sale Highlights
Leading Solo Select’s consignments was Miss Southern Perry, a sorrel mare who brought $92,000 in the sale ring. She is by the legendary Mr Jess Perry, one of the most prolific sires in Quarter Horse racing history and out of Valiant Jess, adding proven speed and classic black type to her pedigree.
The high-selling colt for Solo Select was Sass My Corona, who sold for $83,000. By Corona Cartel, the No. 2 all-time sire of money-earners and out of Sizzlin Sass, this colt represents a cross of pedigree power and stallion-making potential that attracted serious buyer interest.
Solo Select’s Signature Sale Fitting Program
Solo Select’s success at Heritage Place Yearling Sale reflects more than just great pedigrees—it’s the result of a carefully executed sale fitting program designed to maximize every horse’s value before they ever step into the ring.

“Sale fitting is where it all begins,” said Ty Smith, CEO of Solo Select and one of the world’s leading horse buyers. “Our goal is to not only present a horse at its physical best but also position it perfectly in the market so that it brings top dollar for our clients.”

The racehorse sale fitting program is led by Dustin Price, whose decades of experience in preparing yearlings for major auctions have made him one of the most respected professionals in the industry. Dustin’s knowledge of conditioning, nutrition, and presentation—combined with Solo Select’s innovative marketing—gives each consignor a competitive edge.
Solo Select also offers a dedicated performance horse fitting program, led by Maria Gutierrez and Alexis Gonzalez, whose success includes topping the 2023 NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity sale with Black Magic Woman ($180,000) and shattering the Pink Buckle Sale record with Blackkout ($875,000).
“At Solo Select, it’s a true team effort,” Dustin Price said. “From the barn to the sale ring, every horse receives individualized care and attention. We are incredibly thankful to our clients for trusting us with their programs and proud of the results we’re able to achieve together.”
